The brand 'a neo utopia' emerges trying to report the Zeitgeist of the present and to conceive a possible fashion reality for an ominous future.

REALAĴO EN REKONSTRUO - which translates from Esperanto to “reality in reconstruction” - is the first collection by the designer J. ERICO VALENÇA, director of the brand conceived by himself: 'a neo utopia'. The collection seeks to communicate transformations of humanity from the perspective of the future.

In REALAĴO EN REKONSTRUO the future is conceived is one of post-destruction of the planet. Advent of the denatured exploitation of natural resources and crisis, from the perspective of those who remained on this planet: observers, in the midst of chaos and devastation, the ones who had the condition to leave.

Those left to die, seek to rebuild the global biome, with what was left of it. A reconstruction marked by a planet with a temperature 5°C warmer: in the midst of a pandemic that originated in what was once a virgin tropical forest, resulting from a viral spillover between a frog and a cow. The virus is contracted by humans firstly through the diet, then transmitted by the contact of sweat, from others, by hands.

The pieces textural mix prints and native colors from a post-apocalyptic tropical forest - the frog skin texture, the green, the iridescent and the desert sand. Combining climatic and pandemic functionality, with the prognosis of a fashion reality with less shame, which oscillates between, what once was, the male and the female silhouettes.

From the perspective of the study of 3D modeling and moulage, the REALAĴO EN REKONSTRUO collection permeates between reality and meta-verse. Released in a hybrid way. Initially 100% digital in partnership with CARTOLA MAGAZINE - with digital interactions between printed magazine and augmented digital reality - and for two months, it will be transformed into a physical collection sewed in SANTISTA fabric. Thus, proposing a process of transmutation from the fictional artificial to the real, which represents a direct relationship between the present and the future - raising the position that if humanity does not carry out systemic changes today, it may end up in the foreseeable future.
