'kosma laborepoko' - from Esperanto, 'age of cosmic work' - references the space race of the 1960s and the period of technological optimism of the 1990s. Alluding to Asimov's fictions, the collection is set on a spaceship and interprets work relations in this context.

The collection presents what could be the crew uniform in a future moment in which the very concept of uniform, as we know it, has become obsolete and replaced by space computing. Now, crew members dress for work no longer to communicate hierarchy, but expression itself.

The slim silhouette of the 1990s is mixed with references to space in the shapes of the pieces that are characteristic of the 1960s, under a contemporary look that uses plasticized fabrics, transparencies, long coats, tongues, metallic buttons, circular cutouts, cartouches cold in color, and everything that was fashionable among the ship's crew.

//prologue;

In an era of social welfare hegemony, money becomes an obsolete concept. With scientific development resources disconnected from financial interests, scientists move forward without obstacles to create a new way of traveling through the cosmos: the artificial portal.

The first scientific expedition spacecraft with this technology, the UKŜ-Asimov (from Esperanto unuiĝinta kosmoŝipo Asimov), floated in Earth orbit, projected and entered its portal. The objective would be to study the biomes of the planet Kepler 90/1960. However, during its passage through the portal, the vehicle suffered a depressurization in the abduction chamber that would make it impossible to transport crew members and biological samples between the cosmocraft and the planet, representing a disaster for the expedition. All workers, awake or hibernating, are summoned by the alien-terrestrial captain, through her telepathic communicators, to manage the emergency.

Cosmospace workers wear clothes in the service of their own expression. Uniforms no longer make sense: the spatial computing embedded in their retinas is responsible for informing who belongs to the cosmic crew and who does not and their assignment.

Plasticized fabrics, transparencies, long coats, tongues, circular cutouts, are fashionable among the crew, who, in a joint action, are responsible for remedying the mechanical failure to contain damage to the UKŜ-Asimov structure.
